My name is Blanca Luz, I am 25 years old and I work in Sembrando Sonrisas. I live in Pochuta Chiquimula. I used to dream of becoming a teacher but I got pregnant and had to quit school. When I had my kid I stayed home all day. My mom told me she didn’t want to see me doing nothing so she gave me a second chance to study. Working with Wakami helped me graduate because I had money. If I had not been weaving bracelets it would not have been possible for me to graduate. Last year I graduated. It was hard, but for my daughter Danica Paola I did the best I could. I am grateful to my parents for giving me a second chance and with Wakami for helping me make my dream possible.

Mi hombre es Blanca Luz, vivo en Pochuta Chiquimula, tengo 25 años y trabajo en “Sembrando Sonrisas”. Antes de entrar a Wakami soñaba con ser maestra pero quedé embarazada y tuve que dejar mis estudios. Me quedaba en casa pero mi mamá me dijo que no quería verme sin hacer nada. Tuve una segunda oportunidad de estudiar y el año pasado me gradué. Wakami fue una gran ayuda porque si no hubiera estado tejiendo pulseras no habría sido posible graduarme. Hoy soy secretaria, no fue fácil pero por mi hija Danica Paola hice lo mejor que pude. Me gusta hacer pulseras y estoy agradecida con mis papás por darme una segunda oportunidad y con Wakami por ayudarme a hacer mi sueño posible.
